**Responsibilities**
You will work as a 3D Artist on a padel video game currently in active development.
Define and validate the final visual style of the game. Existing assets are already in place, but the overall artistic direction still needs to be finalized.Update and finalize the main character mesh so it fully matches the approved style.Model and texture an environment, including padel courts, props, rackets, and related assets.Handle overall scene lighting.Create fixed character poses based on reference photos of real players.Later: create gameplay animations and cinematic animations.Later: design in-game UI and menu UI.Much later: produce additional assets such as new venues, clothing, and a female character.Work can be split between multiple artists. If you do not cover every area above, you are still encouraged to apply.
The project has been in development for several months and already includes a functional prototype.
**Qualifications**
Experience working with Unreal Engine (Bonus: released a game using Unreal)Ability to research, learn, solve problems, and propose artistic or technical ideasComfortable working iteratively and improving work through feedbackAbility to be paid legally through invoicing or a professional platform such as Fiverr or UpworkClear and consistent communication in English or FrenchYou can be located anywhere and work on your own scheduleBonus: interest in or knowledge of padelImportant note: No Generative AICurrent assets are created in Blender, with textures done in Photoshop, but you can use your preferred DCC software if you wish. Integration into Unreal will be part of your responsibilities.
Expected availability is around 10 to 25 hours per week, but this may evolve depending on your availability and project needs. After an initial collaboration period of about one month, we will evaluate fit and potentially move into a longer-term partnership.
