Character Animator (Rigging & Unreal Integration)

// REQUIRED SKILLS
**Responsibilities**
Create rigs and skin characters (humanoid and non-humanoid)
Produce high-quality gameplay animations (locomotion, abilities, interactions)
Export and integrate animations into Unreal Engine
Set up and maintain Animation Blueprints, state machines, and blend spaces
Work closely with the Gameplay Developer to ensure animations support gameplay systems
Iterate on animations based on gameplay feedback
Ensure clean handoff and documentation for animation systems
**Qualifications**
Strong experience with Maya or Blender (rigging and skinning required)
Experience creating gameplay-ready animation sets (idle, walk, run, abilities, etc.)
Experience importing and implementing animations in Unreal Engine
Familiarity with Animation Blueprints and basic state machine setup
Ability to collaborate closely with a programmer
Comfortable working in a small indie team
Nice to Have
Experience with non-humanoid rigs
Basic IK setup knowledge
Experience working on co-op or multiplayer games
Previous indie project experience
