// JOB DESCRIPTION

**Responsibilities**

As an Animator at Flawky Studios, you will define the "game feel" of Project: Light & Shadow, ensuring that every movement conveys weight, power, and responsiveness. You will bridge the gap between artistic motion and technical gameplay.

Key Responsibilities:

Visceral Combat Design: Hand-key or refine mocap for high-impact combat sequences, including heavy attacks, parries, dodges, and directional hit reactions (staggers) that align with "Souls-like" timing windows.

Fluid Traversal & Locomotion: Create and tune seamless movement sets (Walk/Run/Sprint blends) and environmental interactions (Climbing, Vaulting, Door Opening) to ensure the player feels grounded in the world.

UE5 Implementation: Import and set up assets directly in Unreal Engine 5, managing State Machines, Blend Spaces, and Animation Montages to ensure smooth transitions between actions.

Technical Tuning: Collaborate with Gameplay Programmers to adjust Root Motion, anim notifies (SFX/VFX triggers), and hit-frame data to ensure gameplay match

**Qualifications**

Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Maya or Blender for keyframe animation and motion capture cleanup.

Unreal Engine 5 Mastery: Deep understanding of the UE5 animation pipeline, including Animation Blueprints, Blend Spaces, State Machines, and Montages.

Combat Logic: Strong grasp of action game mechanics specifically how to design animations with clear "Tells" (Anticipation), active hit frames, and recovery windows to support fair but challenging gameplay.

Technical Implementation: Experience working with Root Motion and debugging animation graphs to resolve blending issues or foot sliding.

Portfolio Requirement: A showreel demonstrating in-game motion (combat or traversal) is mandatory. Please do not submit purely cinematic/acting reels; we need to see how your animations function in a gameplay context.

Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Control Rig in UE5 or experience rigging characters is a major plus.
