// REQUIRED SKILLS
**Responsibilities**
Improve and refine the raptor locomotion system in Unreal Engine.
Implement and polish turn-in-place animations (45°, 90°, 180°) using root motion.
Implement a procedural head / spine look-at system so the creature tracks the player naturally.
Improve animation blending and transitions between idle, patrol, chase, and attack states.
Ensure animation integrates smoothly with the AI movement and navigation system.
Help tune the creature’s movement so it feels predatory, weighty, and believable during gameplay.
Provide guidance on best practices for creature animation systems in UE5.
**Qualifications**
Experience working with Unreal Engine Animation Blueprints.
Strong understanding of gameplay animation systems (not just cinematic animation).
Experience with root motion, turn-in-place systems, and procedural animation.
Experience implementing look-at / head tracking systems in Unreal.
Familiarity with AI-driven characters and gameplay integration.
Ability to work with existing animation assets and rigs.
Portfolio demonstrating gameplay animation work (creatures or characters preferred).
Nice to have:
Experience animating or implementing creature / animal locomotion.
Experience with survival horror or stealth gameplay animation systems.
