**Responsibilities**
We’re a two-person indie team developing a co-op multiplayer game featuring two distinct playable characters ( non-humanoid). We’re looking for a freelance gameplay programmer to design and implement core character mechanics and co-op interaction systems.
Responsibilities:
Implement movement and ability systems for three unique characters
Develop co-op gameplay mechanics and interaction systems
Prototype, test, and iterate on gameplay feel
**Qualifications**
Experience developing gameplay systems in Unreal Engine (C++ and/or Blueprints)
Experience building character movement and basic locomotion systems
Familiarity with animation state machines and blending
Ability to connect animations to gameplay logic (movement, abilities, interactions)
Basic understanding of multiplayer/co-op concepts (replication, syncing)
Strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working independently in a small indie team
Experience with non-humanoid characters
Experience with IK or simple procedural animation
