**Responsibilities**
We are an indie team looking for a Backend engineer for our multiplayer game, we have budget.
We are looking for someone who can do:
• Backend services, connect our game clients to online services, integrating third-party platforms and supporting live operations, using Accelbyte and other tools.
• Help with engine tooling/automation, profiling/performance optimizations, code optimization and cleanup & moving systems out of blueprint into c++/angelscript
**Responsibilities:**
• Integrate and maintain third-party backend platforms
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting gameplay systems
• Implement features: authentication, progression, matchmaking, inventories etc
• Write performant, maintainable C++ code
• Debug client-backend integration issues
• Support live operations and backend updates
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills:**
• Strong C++ experience
• Production experience with Unreal Engine
• Comfortable integrating third-party backend solutions
• Solid understanding of client-server architecture
• Debugging and problem-solving across networked systems
**Bonus Skills:**
• Direct experience with AccelByte
• FPS/TPS experience
• Familiarity with AngelScript
• Experience with General Movement Component
• Experience shipping or supporting live-service games
• Knowledge of multiplayer systems and online infrastructure
