**Responsibilities**

Help our team at Notiontheory design, build, and maintain high quality multiplayer systems by:

  • architecting and implementing multiplayer gameplay systems (client/server, replication, RPCs)
  • developing and maintaining networked gameplay features in C++ and Blueprints
  • implementing and optimizing replication strategies for actors, components, and gameplay state
  • debugging and resolving multiplayer issues
  • optimizing bandwidth usage, server performance, and network tick rates
  • working with gameplay, backend, and infrastructure engineers to integrate online services (lobbies, matchmaking, sessions, persistence, etc.)
  • **Qualifications**

  • strong expertise in C++ and Unreal Engine
  • proficiency using both C++ and Blueprints effectively in a multiplayer context
  • experience shipping at least one multiplayer or networked commercial title is a big plus
  • fluency in English (written, spoken)
  • working microphone and webcam
  • self-directed problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • excellent communicator who collaborates well with designers, artists, and engineers
  • you must play games, love games, and want to make games!
