**Responsibilities**
Epic MegaGrant-supported project currently in development with a 7-person team preparing a vertical slice milestone.

• Develop and expand existing gameplay systems for a cosmic-horror survival shooter
• Build systems alongside an experienced 7-person team (AAA producer and CTO, Silent Hill environment artist, Warhammer 40K author Steve Parker)
• Implement and expand systems using Unreal GAS (Gameplay Ability System)
• Expand and refine inventory and survival systems (resource management, extraction loop, item logic)
• Contribute to refactoring and restructuring gameplay systems to establish a clean, maintainable codebase
• Improve and stabilize existing multiplayer / replication systems
• Optimize performance and scalability (UE5, Lumen/Nanite targets)
• Contribute to the vertical slice milestone
Animation / Character Work
• Create and implement gameplay animations for use in Unreal Engine
**Qualifications**
• Strong Unreal Engine experience (C++ required, Blueprint proficiency expected)
• Experience working with GAS
• Experience building inventory or survival-style systems
• Experience working with GASP, locomotion or motion matching systems
• Solid understanding of replication / multiplayer fundamentals
• Preferably experienced with AI systems (Behavior Trees, EQS, combat logic)
• Comfortable working in an early-stage, high-ownership environment
• Shipped title experience preferred
Animation / Character Work
• Comfortable animating creatures and non-human movement
• Strong sense of dynamism, weight and combat readability
• Work with locomotion systems (GASP / motion matching preferred)
